Frequently asked questions
What size does the B5 resizer produce?
B5 measures 176 x 250 millimeters, about 6.9 x 9.8 inches. This tool outputs 672 x 955 pixels, which is that page at 96 DPI, a standard screen resolution. The file is a portrait JPG at 90 percent quality named B5_ followed by your original file name, sized for documents, digital booklets and on-screen layouts.
Is the B5 output suitable for high-quality printing?
It is sized at 96 DPI, which suits screens, digital documents and quick drafts rather than fine photo prints. For a sharp printed B5 page at 300 DPI you would need about 2079 x 2953 pixels. Use this tool when a layout or template asks for a B5 image at screen resolution, and export a larger file from your editor for professional printing.
How do I resize a photo to B5?
Click the area labeled Click or Drag to Upload Photo and choose one image. Its name appears in the list. Press Resize to B5, and the tool resizes the image to 672 x 955 pixels and downloads the JPG. To resize another photo, click the upload area again and select the next file.
Will my photo be stretched?
The tool scales the whole image to exactly 672 x 955 pixels without cropping, so photos with a different shape are stretched or squeezed to fit. B5 is about 1:1.42, close to a vertical 3:2 photo but not identical, so expect a slight change. Crop to the B5 ratio in your editor beforehand for a distortion-free result.
Which file types can I use?
Any image your browser can open is accepted, such as JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF. Output is always JPG, which is compatible with word processors, layout software and online document tools. Transparent areas of a PNG become white in the final image. The tool processes one photo at a time, so repeat the steps for each image your document needs.
Is the B5 photo resizer free?
It is free, with no watermark and no software to install. Your photo is processed in your browser and never leaves your device. On your first visit you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which unlocks every tool. Imagen also offers AI editing software that learns your personal editing style.
