What does this Resize for Bandcamp tool do?

How do I resize album art for Bandcamp?

Which part of my photo ends up in the square?
The center. The shorter side of the photo sets the size of the square, so a horizontal image loses some of each side and a vertical image loses some of the top and bottom. If the band or key detail sits off-center, crop to a square in your editor first, then run the image through the tool for the final size.
What happens if my image is smaller than 1400 pixels?
The square crop is enlarged to 1400 by 1400 pixels, which can make a small image look soft. Start from a full-size export whenever possible so the tool only scales down. Most current cameras and phones produce files far larger than 1400 pixels on the short side, so this is mainly an issue with old or heavily cropped images.
