Frequently asked questions
What size should images be for VK?
The tool follows the recommended 1080 x 1080 pixel square shown in its interface. Square images display consistently in VK feeds and on profile walls, and 1080 pixels is sharp on phones and desktop alike. Each output is a 1080 x 1080 JPG named VK_ followed by your original file name, so a batch is easy to match to its sources.
How do I resize photos for VK with this tool?
Click the area labeled Click or Drag to Upload Images and select one or more photos. They appear in a list with a Ready status, and the Quality slider appears. Set the quality, then press Resize & Download. Each photo is processed in turn and downloaded automatically, and its status changes to Done when it is finished.
Does the VK resizer crop my photos?
No. Each photo is scaled down or up until its longest side is 1080 pixels, then centered on a white square. A landscape image gets white bands above and below, and a portrait gets them on the left and right. Your full composition stays visible, which suits wide group photos, panoramas and vertical portraits that would lose too much in a square crop.
Which formats are supported, and what does the Quality slider do?
Any image your browser can open is accepted, including JPG, PNG and WebP, and every result is saved as a JPG. The Quality slider runs from 10 to 100 percent and starts at 90. Higher values keep more fine detail and make larger files; lower values shrink files but can introduce visible compression in skies and skin.
How can I keep a photo series consistent on VK?
Run the whole series through the tool in one batch at the same quality setting, so every image comes out at identical dimensions with the same white frame. Finish color and exposure edits beforehand so the set reads as one story. Mixing horizontal and vertical frames is fine here, since the padding keeps every post the same square shape.
Is the VK resizer free, and is it private?
Yes, it is free, with no watermark and no software to install. All resizing happens inside your browser, so your photos are never uploaded and stay on your device. On first use you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which unlocks every tool in the collection.
