Resize for Patreon

It turns photos into 16:9 cover images at 1200 by 675 pixels. Each image is scaled until it fills the whole frame, centered, and anything extending past the edges is cropped, so there are no borders. Results are saved as JPGs at the quality you set, with Patreon_Cover_ added to the start of the original file name.

Click the area labeled Select images for Patreon and choose one or more photos. You can add more files before converting. Set the JPEG Quality slider, then click Resize for Patreon. Each image is processed in turn and downloads as it finishes. Click Clear All to empty the list when you want to start a new batch.

The center. A standard 3:2 camera photo loses a strip from the top and bottom, while a vertical photo loses much more of its height, so horizontal images usually work best. If your subject sits near the edge of the frame, crop to 16:9 in your editor first so the tool keeps exactly the area you want.

The slider runs from 10 to 100 percent and starts at 90, which keeps detail and smooth gradients while keeping the file light. A cover image is seen by every visitor to your page, so stay between 85 and 95. If your source photo is smaller than 1200 by 675 pixels, it will be enlarged, so start from a full-size export.

Photographers use Patreon to offer members presets, behind-the-scenes videos, early access to new work, print discounts or tutorials on shooting and editing. A strong cover image tells visitors at a glance what kind of photography you make. Refresh it with recent work every few months so returning members see that the page is active.
