Frequently asked questions
What are the pixel dimensions of A6 at 300 DPI?
A6 measures 105 x 148 millimeters, about 4.1 x 5.8 inches. At 300 DPI that is approximately 1240 x 1748 pixels, which is the canvas this tool creates. The output is a portrait JPG at 90 percent quality, named A6_resized_ followed by your original file name, ready for postcard and small flyer printing.
How do I resize a photo to A6?
Click the area that says Click to upload or drag & drop and choose one photo. Its name appears as Selected. Press Resize to A6 (300 DPI), and the tool fits the image onto the A6 canvas and downloads the JPG. Click the upload area again and choose another file to prepare the next card.
Will my photo be cropped to fit A6?
No. The full image is scaled to fit inside the A6 card and centered, and any leftover area becomes white. A6 has a ratio of about 1:1.41, so a vertical 3:2 photo gets thin bands at the top and bottom, while a horizontal photo gets wider bands because the canvas is portrait. Crop to the A-series ratio first for a full-bleed card.
Which file formats can I use?
Any image your browser can open is accepted, including JPG, PNG and WebP, and AVIF in current browsers. The result is always a JPG, which postcard printers and online print services accept universally. Transparent areas in a PNG become white, matching standard card stock. The tool handles one photo at a time, so for a set of cards simply repeat the steps for each image.
How can photographers use A6 prints?
A6 is the classic postcard size, which makes it perfect for thank-you cards slipped into client deliveries, mini prints at markets, promotional cards at weddings and events, and small portfolio leave-behinds. Most camera files easily exceed 1240 x 1748 pixels, so your images are reduced rather than enlarged and stay sharp at this size.
Is the A6 resizer free, and are my photos uploaded?
It is free with no watermark and no software to install, and nothing is uploaded: the photo is processed inside your browser on your own device. The first time you use it, you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which then unlocks every tool in the collection.
