Frequently asked questions

What size is A0 in pixels?

A0 measures 841 x 1189 millimeters, roughly 33.1 x 46.8 inches. At 300 DPI, the standard resolution for quality printing, that is 9933 x 14043 pixels. This tool always outputs exactly that size in portrait orientation, saved as a JPG at 95 percent quality and named resized_A0_ followed by your original file name.

How do I resize a photo to A0?

Click the area that says Drop your image here and select one photo. Its name appears in the list. Press Resize to A0. The tool builds the full-size A0 canvas, places your photo on it and downloads the JPG. Because the file is very large, processing can take a few moments, so wait for the download to start.

Will my photo be cropped to fit A0?

No. The photo is scaled to fit entirely inside the A0 sheet and centered, and any leftover space is filled with white. A0 has a ratio of about 1:1.41, so a 3:2 portrait gets thin white bands at the top and bottom, while a landscape photo gets wide bands, since the canvas is always portrait. Crop to the A-series ratio first for a borderless print.

Does resizing to A0 add detail to my photo?

Resizing changes the pixel count, not the detail captured. A photo smaller than 9933 x 14043 pixels is enlarged to fit, so a typical camera file will look softer up close than at its native size. Large posters are usually viewed from a distance, which hides much of this, but starting with the highest-resolution export you have makes a visible difference.

Which files work best, and are there any limits?

Any image your browser can open is accepted, such as JPG, PNG or WebP. The A0 canvas holds about 140 million pixels, which is demanding for a browser, so a desktop or laptop computer with plenty of free memory is the most reliable choice. Close other heavy tabs if the download does not start, then try again.

Is the A0 resizer free and private?

It is free, with no watermark and nothing to install. The photo is processed in your browser and stays on your device; it is never uploaded. The first time you use it, you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which unlocks every tool. Imagen also makes AI editing software that learns your style.
