Which SoundCloud image sizes does this tool create?
Pick one of three presets at the top. Track Artwork outputs a 2400 x 2400 pixel square, Profile Picture outputs 1000 x 1000 pixels, and Header Banner outputs a wide 2480 x 520 pixel image. The target size appears next to each file in the queue, and switching presets updates the list, so you can check every file before you resize.
How do I use the SoundCloud resizer?
Choose Track Artwork, Profile Picture or Header Banner, then drag your images onto the drop zone or click to browse. You can add several files, and they stack up in a queue. Pick a Resize Method, then press Resize & Download. Each file is processed in turn and downloaded as a PNG. Use Clear Queue to empty the list and start again.
What is the difference between Cover and Fit?
Cover (Fill & Crop) scales the photo until it fills the whole target and trims whatever extends past the edges evenly from both sides, so there is no empty space. Fit (Add Borders) shows the entire photo and fills the leftover space with transparent borders, which is useful for logos or artwork that cannot lose any edges. Cover is selected by default.
Which formats can I upload, and why is the output PNG?
The tool accepts PNG, JPG and WebP files, and high-quality originals give the best results. Every result is saved as a PNG, which is lossless, so the resize does not add compression artifacts. PNG is also what keeps the transparent borders of Fit mode intact. Files are named with SoundCloud_, the preset you chose, and the original file name.
How should I frame a photo for the SoundCloud header banner?
The header is very wide, so a standard photo loses a lot of its height in Cover mode. Choose an image with a horizontal composition and room at the top and bottom, or crop a wide panoramic slice in your editor before resizing. Keep the key subject near the middle, because the profile picture and page elements can overlap the edges of the banner.
Does the SoundCloud tool cost anything, and is it private?
It is completely free, with no watermark and no software to install. All resizing happens in your browser on your own device, so your images are never uploaded. The only step is a one-time check: you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which then gives you access to every tool.
