Photo Stacking Tool
Join several images into one tall picture with the Photo Stacking Tool. It places your photos one below another in the order you add them, aligned to the left edge, and saves the combined result as a single PNG. Photographers use it for before and after comparisons, step-by-step sequences, long screenshots and vertical social posts.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a focus stacking or HDR tool?
No. This tool joins images edge to edge in a vertical column; it does not blend them. Focus stacking and exposure stacking merge several aligned shots of the same scene into one image with greater depth of field or dynamic range, which requires specialized software. Use this tool when you want a simple combined layout, such as a before and after or a sequence.
How do I stack images vertically?
Click or drag images onto the area labeled Click or Drag Images to Stack. Each file is added to the list, and you can add more in several rounds. Once there are at least two images, the Stack Images button becomes active. Click it and the tool combines them top to bottom in list order, then downloads the result as stacked-image.png.
What happens if my images have different widths?
The final image is as wide as the widest photo and as tall as all the photos combined. Each image keeps its original size and is placed against the left edge, so narrower images leave a transparent strip on their right. For a neat column without gaps, resize all images to the same width before stacking.
How do I control the stacking order?
Images are stacked in the order they appear in the list, which is the order you added them. To put a specific photo on top, add it first, then add the rest in sequence. When selecting several files at once, the order follows your browser's file list, so numbering file names beforehand keeps the stack predictable. To start over, reload the page.
Which formats are supported, and how large can the result be?
You can stack JPG, PNG, WebP and other images your browser can open, even mixing formats. The output is a lossless PNG at full resolution. Stacking several high-resolution camera files creates a very tall image that can be large on disk and may exceed the canvas size some browsers allow, so resize photos to the size you need first.
Is the Photo Stacking Tool really free, and what happens to my photo?
The tool is free, and privacy is built into how it works: your photo is read and processed locally in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and the file stays on your device. Results come without a watermark, and there is no software to install. To use it, answer once that you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which also unlocks every other free tool.
