TIFF to JPG Converter
The TIFF to JPG Converter turns large TIFF masters into small JPG files that open everywhere, from email to social media to online galleries. Photographers can convert one TIFF or many in a single batch, set JPG quality from 1 to 100, and keep each original file name. Multi-page TIFFs use their largest page, and transparency becomes white.

Frequently asked questions
What does the TIFF to JPG Converter do?
It converts TIFF images into JPG files that are smaller and open everywhere, from email to social media to online galleries. You can convert one file or many in a single batch, choose the JPG quality, and each output keeps its original name with a .jpg extension. It reads common TIFF variants, including LZW and ZIP-compressed and 16-bit files, and the conversion runs entirely in your browser.
How do I convert TIFF files to JPG?
Click the upload area and choose any number of .tiff or .tif files. They are listed as Pending and the JPG Quality slider appears. Set the quality, then click Convert to JPG. Each file changes to Converting and then Done as its JPG downloads; a file that cannot be read shows an error message instead. Choosing new files replaces the list. Your browser may ask once to allow multiple downloads.
What JPG quality setting should I choose?
The JPG Quality slider runs from 1 to 100 percent and starts at 90, which keeps detail high while making the file far smaller than the TIFF. For web galleries and client previews, 80 to 90 usually looks the same as the original at normal viewing sizes. Use 95 or above for files that will be printed, and lower values only for small thumbnails. One setting applies to the whole batch.
What happens to transparency and layers in my TIFF?
JPG does not support transparency or layers, so the converter uses the flattened image saved in the TIFF, places it on a white background, and saves a single picture. Any transparent areas become white. If a TIFF has several pages, the largest one is converted. If your TIFF relies on transparency, for example a cut-out product shot, convert it to PNG instead to keep the clear background.
Should I keep my TIFF files after converting?
Yes. Keep TIFFs as your masters for printing, archiving and future edits, and use the JPGs for delivery and sharing. JPG compression discards some data each time a file is saved, so always export new JPGs from the TIFF rather than editing and re-saving a JPG. The JPGs also do not carry the TIFF's metadata, so the master remains the complete record of the image.
Is the TIFF to JPG Converter free, and is it private?
Yes. It is free, adds no watermark, and needs no software. Your TIFF files are converted in your own browser and never leave your device, so client images stay private. On your first visit, answer that you are a photographer and sign up for or log in to a free Imagen account, which unlocks every tool. After that, convert as many files as you need.
