Frequently asked questions
What does the Resize for Naver Blog tool do?
It prepares photos for Naver Blog in two ways. Standard Post (900px width) resizes each image to 900 pixels wide and adjusts the height to keep its proportions. Square Thumbnail (900px) crops the center of each image to a square and resizes it to 900 by 900 pixels. Both save JPGs named Naver-, the mode and your original file name.
How do I resize images for Naver Blog?
Drop JPG, PNG or WebP files onto the area labeled Drop images here or click to browse, or click it to choose them. Under Resize Mode, select Standard Post (900px width) or Square Thumbnail (900px). Set the JPEG Quality slider, then click Resize & Download. Use Clear All to empty the list before the next batch.
What JPEG quality should I use?
The slider runs from 30 to 100 percent and starts at 90. Higher quality means larger files, as the hint under the slider notes. For blog posts, 80 to 90 keeps photos sharp while loading quickly. Thumbnails can go a little lower because they display small. Avoid the lowest settings for images with skies or skin tones.
Which part of my photo is used for the square thumbnail?
The center. The shorter side sets the size of the square, so a horizontal photo loses some of each side and a vertical photo loses some of the top and bottom. If your subject is off-center, crop it to a square in your editor first, then use Square Thumbnail mode to bring it to exactly 900 by 900 pixels.
Are small images enlarged in Standard Post mode?
Yes. Standard Post always sets the width to exactly 900 pixels, so narrower images are scaled up and can look soft. Start from your full-size exports so the tool only scales down. A 6000 by 4000 pixel photo, for example, becomes 900 by 600 pixels, which is sharp and light enough for any blog layout.
Is the Naver Blog image resizer free and private?
Yes. It is free, adds no watermark and needs no software. Your images are resized in your browser on your own device and never leave it. To use the tool, you confirm once that you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which unlocks every tool in the collection.
