Eye Enhancer Tool

Eye Enhancer Tool gives portrait photographers a quick, targeted way to make eyes stand out. Open a portrait, click the center of each eye in the preview, and the tool sharpens, brightens and adds a touch of color inside a soft circle around each mark, leaving the rest of the face untouched, then downloads a full-size JPEG.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Eye Enhancer Tool do?

It enhances only the eyes you mark. After you click the center of each eye, the tool works inside a soft-edged circle around each point: an unsharp mask brings out detail in the iris and lashes, a gentle lift brightens the whites and catchlights while protecting highlights from clipping, and a small saturation boost adds color to the iris. The effect is full strength near the center and fades toward the edge of the circle, so there is no hard line. Skin, hair and background outside the circles stay exactly as they were.

How do I use the Eye Enhancer Tool?

Click the area labeled Click to upload portrait and choose a photo. A preview appears with two sliders, Enhancement Intensity and Eye Area Size. Click the center of each eye in the preview, and a ring shows the area that will change. Adjust Eye Area Size until each ring covers the eye, set the intensity, then press Enhance Eyes. The result downloads as enhanced-eye-portrait.jpg. If a mark lands in the wrong place, press Clear Marks and click again. Each run starts from your original photo, so you can try different settings.

Which intensity setting should I use?

Enhancement Intensity runs from 0 to 100 percent and starts at 50. At 0 nothing changes, and higher values add more sharpening, brightness and color inside the marked circles. Start at the default, compare the result with your original, then lower the setting for a subtler look or raise it for eyes that are soft or in shadow. Eye Area Size, from 10 to 120, sets the circle size relative to the shorter side of the photo; keep it just large enough to cover the eye so the effect does not spill onto lids and skin.

Does the tool detect the eyes automatically?

No. There is no automatic face or eye detection; you decide exactly where the enhancement goes by clicking each eye. That keeps you in control on profiles, group photos, glasses and partly closed eyes. You can mark as many eyes as you like in one photo, so a couple or a small group can be handled in a single pass. For finer control, such as lifting only the iris while leaving the whites alone, use a brush or mask in your editing software, where you can paint exactly which areas change.

What formats and quality does the Eye Enhancer support?

You can open any image your browser can display, such as JPG, PNG or WebP. The result keeps the original pixel dimensions and is saved as a JPEG at 90 percent quality, a high setting suitable for social media, client previews and online galleries. The rings you see in the preview are only guides and do not appear in the download. Your original file is never altered, so you can always go back to it.

Is the Eye Enhancer Tool free and private?

Yes. It is free, adds no watermark and needs no software. Your portrait is processed in your browser on your own device and is never uploaded anywhere, which keeps client images private. The first time you use one of the tools, you confirm you are a photographer and create or log in to a free Imagen account to unlock them all.
