Resize to 16x24 Print
Get photos ready for 16x24 inch prints in one batch. This free tool scales each image to fill a 4800 x 7200 pixel portrait canvas at 300 DPI, trims any overflow from the center and saves high-quality JPGs. Full-frame camera files already share the 2:3 ratio, so vertical shots usually fit with no crop at all.

Frequently asked questions
What resolution do I need for a 16x24 print?
A 16 x 24 inch print at 300 DPI needs 4800 x 7200 pixels, a 2:3 ratio. This tool outputs exactly that size in portrait orientation, as a JPG at 95 percent quality named Print_16x24_ followed by the original file name. Most full-frame and APS-C cameras shoot 3:2, so their vertical frames fit this print perfectly.
How do I resize photos for 16x24 printing?
Click the area labeled Select Images for 16x24 Print and choose one or more photos. They appear in a list showing the 16x24 inch target and a Pending status. Press Resize & Download All. Each image is processed and downloaded in turn, and its status changes to Ready when its file is saved.
What happens to horizontal photos?
The output canvas is always portrait, 4800 pixels wide and 7200 tall. The tool scales each photo to fill it and trims the overflow evenly, so a horizontal photo is cropped to a narrow vertical slice from its center. For a landscape 24x16 print, rotate the photo 90 degrees in your editor first, then resize it here and print it rotated.
Which formats are supported?
Any image your browser can open is accepted, including JPG, PNG and WebP, and you can select several at once. All outputs are JPGs at 95 percent quality, the format print labs expect. Images smaller than 4800 x 7200 pixels are enlarged to fit, so start from your full-resolution export for the most detail.
Is 16x24 a good print size for photographers?
Yes. Because 16x24 matches the 2:3 shape of most camera sensors, you can print the full frame without cropping, which makes it a favorite for wall art, client gallery prints and exhibition pieces. It is large enough to make an impact in a room while still being practical to frame with standard mats and frames.
Is this 16x24 print resizer free and private?
It is free, with no watermark and nothing to install. Every photo is resized in your browser, so files stay on your device and are never uploaded. On first use you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which then unlocks every tool in the collection.
