How do I fix overexposed photos in editing?

Hey everyone, I took some photos recently and realized that a good number of them turned out overexposed. I really want to salvage them if I can. Does anyone have tips or methods on how to correct overexposed images during post-processing? Feeling a bit discouraged and hoping for some direction. Thanks so much!
