Photo Date/Time Bulk Editor
Photo Date/Time Bulk Editor sets the capture date and time on a whole batch of JPG photos at once. Choose your files, pick the new date and time, and the tool rewrites the EXIF DateTime, DateTimeOriginal, and DateTimeDigitized fields in each one and downloads the updated copies, so galleries and catalogs sort your shots correctly.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Photo Date/Time Bulk Editor do?
It writes a new date and time into the EXIF metadata of JPG photos. You choose one date and time, and the tool sets three fields in every selected file to it: DateTime, which records when the file was last changed, DateTimeOriginal, the capture time most software sorts by, and DateTimeDigitized. Each updated photo then downloads with its original file name. It is useful when a camera clock was never set, or reset after a battery change.
How do I change the date on my photos?
Click the area at the top of the tool and select one or more JPG files. The date and time picker appears with an Apply Date/Time to All button, and each file is listed as Pending. Choose the new date and time, then click the button. Each file shows Processing and then Applied as its updated copy downloads. Files that are not JPGs are marked Skipped: JPG only and left alone.
Does it shift dates by an offset or set them all to the same time?
It sets every selected photo to the same date and time; it does not add or subtract an offset. That suits a group of shots that belong together, such as scans from one roll or images from a single event, or a camera whose clock reset to a default date. If you need to keep the gaps between shots, for example correcting a camera that was an hour off all day, use a tool or editor that can shift times by an offset instead.
Does editing the date affect image quality or other metadata?
No. The tool replaces only the EXIF block of each file and leaves the compressed image data untouched, so there is no recompression and no loss of quality. Other EXIF fields, such as camera model, exposure settings, and GPS location, are kept as they were. If a JPG has no EXIF at all, a new block containing just the three date fields is added. The time is written as local time to the minute, with seconds set to zero.
Why are only JPG files supported?
EXIF can be rewritten in place reliably in JPG files, which is what the tool's metadata library does. Raw formats, HEIC, PNG, and TIFF store metadata in different structures that need specialist software to edit safely. For those, use the date adjustment feature in your photo management software or a dedicated metadata editor. If you select other files along with JPGs, they are simply skipped while the JPGs are updated.
Is the Photo Date/Time Bulk Editor free and private?
Yes. It is free and runs entirely in your browser, so your photos are read and updated on your own device and never leave it. Because the updated copies download with the same names as the originals, save them to a separate folder or let your browser number them, so you can check the results before replacing anything. Access requires a free account, created once after you confirm you are a photographer.
