Client Proof Watermark Tool

It adds a centered text watermark to a batch of images so they can be shared as proofs. The text is drawn in semi-transparent white across the middle of each image, sized to one twentieth of the image width. If you leave the text blank, it uses the word PROOF. Each marked image downloads as a JPG at 90 percent quality with watermarked_ added to its name.

Click the upload area and select the images to proof. They appear in a list marked Ready, and the settings open. Type a client name or PROOF into Watermark Text, then set the Opacity slider. Click Apply Watermarks. Each image shows Processing and then Downloaded as its proof copy saves. Your original files are left exactly as they were.

The text is always semi-transparent white, and the Opacity slider, from 10 to 100 percent with a default of 50, fades it further. At 100 percent it is at its most visible while still letting the photo show through. For proofs that must discourage screenshots, use a higher opacity. Because the text is white, it reads best over mid and dark tones.

A corner watermark is easy to crop out, which makes it weak protection for unpaid proofs. A centered mark sits over the subject, so the image cannot be used without obvious editing, yet clients can still judge expression, pose and composition. For credit on public social posts, where you want the photo to look clean, a corner mark from Batch Watermark Photos suits better.

After culling and editing, export your selections, run them through this tool and share the watermarked copies for the client to choose favorites or approve retouching. Once they order or pay, deliver the clean, full-quality files.
