AI Photo Denoiser
High-ISO grain and color noise can spoil an otherwise strong frame. The AI Photo Denoiser smooths noise by averaging each pixel with its neighbors, with ten intensity levels so photographers can choose between a light cleanup and a heavy smoothing pass, then download a full-resolution PNG without installing any software.

Frequently asked questions
How does the AI Photo Denoiser reduce noise?
Each pass replaces every pixel's color with the average of the four pixels directly above, below, left and right of it, which evens out the random speckles that make up noise. The Denoising Intensity level sets how many passes run, from one to ten. More passes remove more grain but also soften fine detail, because the filter treats texture and noise the same way.
How do I denoise a photo?
Click the file area and choose an image. The Denoising Intensity slider appears, set to Level 3. Move it anywhere between Level 1 and Level 10, then click Denoise & Download. The tool processes the photo in your browser and saves the result automatically as a PNG, with denoised_ added in front of your original file name, so portrait.jpg becomes denoised_portrait.png. Run it again at a different level to compare.
Which intensity level should I use?
Start low. Levels 1 to 3 calm light grain and color speckles while keeping most texture, which suits portraits and everyday photos. Higher levels work for very noisy night shots or images that will only be shown small, but they make hair, fabric and foliage look smooth. Try two or three levels and compare them at 100 percent zoom before choosing.
What file formats are supported?
You can load JPG and PNG files, and any other image format your browser can display, such as WebP. The output is lossless PNG data at the same pixel dimensions as your original, so no new compression artifacts are added. Large, high-resolution images and higher intensity levels take longer to process, so give the browser a moment before the download starts.
Should I denoise before or after other edits?
Noise reduction usually works best early, before sharpening, because sharpening exaggerates grain. For the cleanest results, reduce noise in your RAW processor while the full sensor data is still available, and use this tool on JPGs or exported files that still show grain. Avoid heavy sharpening afterward, since it brings back some of the speckle you removed.
Is the denoiser free, and are my photos kept private?
Yes. It is free, adds no watermark and needs no software. Your photo is processed by your browser on your own device and never leaves it. You answer once that you're a photographer and create or log into a free Imagen account, which unlocks this tool and every other one on the site.
