What is the best size for a Facebook Cover photo in 2026?
The ideal size for a Facebook Cover photo is **851 pixels wide by 315 pixels tall**. To ensure the highest quality and prevent blurring on Retina displays, we recommend uploading an image at double these dimensions ($1702 \times 630$ px). Why does my cover photo look different on mobile vs. desktop?
Facebook uses a responsive design that "squeezes" the cover photo. On desktop, it is very wide and short; on mobile, it is taller and narrower. Our tool utilizes a **Safe Zone** approach, centering your image so that important details (like text or logos) don't get cut off when the sides are cropped on mobile devices.
Will this tool distort or stretch my images?
No. We use **Proportional Scaling**. If you choose "Smart Crop," the tool will fill the cover area by trimming the top or bottom of your photo while keeping the proportions 1:1.
