Color Grading Tool
The Color Grading Tool adjusts a photo's brightness, contrast, saturation and hue with four sliders and shows the result live as you move them. When the look is right, photographers download a full-resolution PNG, a quick way to try a brighter, punchier, muted or color-shifted version of an image without opening an editing program.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Color Grading Tool do?
It applies four global adjustments to a photo: brightness, contrast, saturation and hue rotation. Each slider affects the whole image evenly, the preview updates as you move it, and the graded result downloads as a full-resolution PNG named graded-image.png. It is a quick way to try a brighter, punchier, more muted or color-shifted look without opening an editing program.
How do I color grade a photo with this tool?
Click the file area and choose an image. When it loads, four sliders appear, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Hue Rotate, with a preview of your photo below them. Move the sliders and the preview updates immediately, so you can see the look as you build it. When you are happy, click Download Graded Image to save the PNG at the photo's full resolution. Keep adjusting and download again for alternative versions.
What do the slider values mean?
Brightness, Contrast and Saturation each run from 0 to 200 percent and start at 100, which leaves the photo unchanged. Values above 100 increase the effect and values below reduce it, so Saturation at 0 gives black and white. Hue Rotate runs from 0 to 360 degrees and shifts every color around the color wheel. It starts at 0, and 360 is a full circle back.
How can I create a muted or film-like look?
For a soft, muted style, lower Saturation to around 70 to 85 percent and Contrast to around 85 to 90 percent, then nudge Brightness up slightly. For a punchy look, raise Contrast and Saturation a little, to about 110 to 120 percent. Use Hue Rotate sparingly: even a few degrees changes skin tones noticeably, so it suits creative work more than portraits.
Is this a replacement for grading in a full editor?
No. These are global adjustments, so they affect every pixel equally and cannot target shadows, highlights or specific colors the way split toning or HSL tools do. Use it for fast looks, social posts and testing ideas. For consistent client work across an entire gallery, Imagen offers AI editing software that learns your personal style and applies it to every photo.
Is the Color Grading Tool free to use?
Yes. It is free, adds no watermark and needs no software. Your photo is graded in your own browser and never leaves your device. To unlock the tool, you confirm you are a photographer and create or log into a free account once, which also opens every other tool in the collection.
