Talking Photographic Workflows with Fer Juaristi

Fer Juaristi has always been creative at heart. Fer approaches wedding photography with the aim to blur the personal and the artistic and as he experiments, he brings other photographers along for the journey.
Fer shoots everything in black and white (while in RAW), which allows them to remove distractions and focus on the subject.
Shooting in black and white has been a topic of discussion in the Imagen Community, with some photographers, including Ashley Rae, adopting this approach.
It is essential to shoot in RAW format for the ability to cull photos and edit in color later, as shooting in JPEG will not yield the same results.
Fer Juaristi uses a combination of the back screen and the electronic viewfinder (EVF) to frame and compose his shots, finding that the screen offers different angles and perspectives. Initially, Fer felt a sense of unease when transitioning from using the viewfinder to the screen, but he has come to accept and embrace this change as part of the evolving nature of photography.
