Photographer Bill of Sale

A bill of sale is a short document confirming that a client has paid a stated amount for specific goods or services. Photographers use one to record the sale of prints, digital files or a session, giving both parties a clear record of who paid, what was delivered and how much. It is simpler than a contract and does not replace one.

Fill in Photographer Name, Client Name, Description of Services/Assets and Total Amount ($). The photographer name, client name and amount are required. Click Generate PDF / Print Document. The tool shows the completed bill of sale and opens your browser's print dialog, where you can print it or choose to save it as a PDF.

The document is headed BILL OF SALE and lists the photographer, the client, the services or assets described and the total paid in dollars. It ends with a blank line for the photographer's signature. Keep the description specific, for example the session date, number of edited images, print sizes and any usage rights, so the record is clear if questions come up later.

It is a simple template that records a payment, and its weight depends on your local laws and how it is used. It does not include terms, warranties or licensing clauses. For high-value sales or transfers of rights, have a contract prepared or reviewed by a qualified professional in your area, and use this document as the receipt that accompanies it.

When the print dialog opens, change the printer or destination to Save as PDF, or Microsoft Print to PDF on many Windows computers, and save the file. You can then email it to your client or store it with the job records. To change any detail, edit the form fields and click Generate PDF / Print Document again.
