Braulio Rocha has been called Montreal’s Bar Mitzvah King of photography. Looking at his unique Bar and Bat Mitzvah portfolio you will likely see why he has made a name for himself in that genre. We are honored to have Braulio on the podcast to share his insights and advice with other Imageners.

When permitted, he turns the lights off in the synagogue and other venues, in order to have complete control. That is one of the most important things Braulio does behind the camera.

Braulio’s photo style is dark and moody, so starting the process with the lights off, and controlling every aspect of light sources, means he can control his final output while in camera.

Braulio’s daughter was not feeling well and wound up cuddling him while we recorded. We apologize for the distraction.

If you are interested in hearing more from Braulio, listen to the full episode wherever you listen to podcasts or on the official Workflows podcast page.
