Introduction to the Challenge
Hey y’all, I’m Alex. We are here with Imagine AI in Las Vegas, Nevada for WPPI 2026 and I have Kim and Gary Evans here. They’ve been the top photographers in Canada for the last 4 years running. We are here today to photograph inside a bar with the juiciest, sloppiest burger we possibly can. We’re going to go in and we’re going to order the craziest burgers. Once the food hits the table, you have 15 minutes with the food.
Challenge accepted!
Choosing the Perfect Burger
Awesome. Let’s go, guys. I’m going to go with the truffle explosion burger.
That sounds messy. Let’s do the explosion. Do you have squeeze bottles of ketchup that we can bring out and play with?
Y’all are embracing the like saucy, juicy. It’s going to be all about the explosion. We got 15 minutes starting now. Let’s go.
Capturing the Moment
Okay, can we get you around the bar? What are we doing right now? We walked into the bar, we’ve ordered the burger, it’s just arrived. I’m loving the fluorescent lights behind. We’ve got the window light from the door coming in so we don’t need any artificial light for this one. We’re going to do a close-up of the hands passing the burger and then we’re going to do face and body shot.
Can you lift it up a little? That’s good. Y’all have 13 minutes left.
Can I bring it back a little bit? Okay, dial in my ambient light.
Time Checks and Creative Shots
10-minute warning!
Oh, that’s cute. Can we do it one without the basket, though? Come on, burger. Burger, pose for me. Do it. Work it. Okay, that’s good.
Okay, y’all. So, we have the truffle explosion burger, the second burger. You guys swap out? I’m done with that one. We’re doing parkour with Gary and Kim and a hamburger. You don’t see this every day.
Can we get our girl here ever so dainty like reaching for a fry? Do you want me to switch with you? Perfect. You’re doing so great. Yeah, you’re crushing it, Bri. So, how often have you worked with photography and burgers? Is this a new thing for you? New thing for me.
The Countdown
Time check. We’re at 5 minutes 10 seconds. Bri, I’m going to You’re going to be me, okay? This is where it’s handy having a husband and wife team because one moves stuff while the other one shows. And then you’re going to like 1 2 3 go. Okay, I’m paused it. Pause.
Oh my god, I love that.
Yep. 3 minutes left. It’s going to be like you’re taking the biggest bite.
I have to take the bite? 55 seconds, guys. Ready and 1 2 3. Yes. Oh, the drip. Love it. 40 seconds. Smile and then like ‘Yeah.’ Yes. 30 seconds, guys. Now you got it. 5 4 3 2 1.
Post-Challenge Reflections
What was it like to be a burger model for a day?
If I could be a burger model for my full-time job.
Yeah. Guys, how was that? Really fun. Really fun.
We’re going to go edit your photos with Imagic. Sound good? Let’s do it.
Post-Production Workflow
As you’re doing this, walk me through your normal post-production workflow. After the wedding, I pull all of the images in. I go through them. Chosen ones then I bring into Lightroom, then into Imagic, let Imagic do its thing, and then it’s done.
Yeah, that’s the one. I was like, you know it when you see it. Okay, Imagic, we’re giving you the chosen ones.
The things you can do while Imagic edits for you. We downloaded the edits into Lightroom right now. Should we go show her? Yes. Yeah, let’s do it.
Come and look at all your pictures. Check it out.
Hey, there you go, girl. Look at the background. It’s beautiful, huh?
OH MY GOD. YES.
It’s SO GOOD, RIGHT? You did a great job. You guys did a great job. Aw, thank you.
That’s a wrap.
